All are the same, even "muh toyota/honda".

All new cars are made with very poor quality and weak materials in order to cut costs and save weight . This is to counter balance the added cost and weight of government mandated safety systems so that cucks and dumb bitches won't be punished for their lack of actual driving skill.

Each new car has probably a hundred different computer modules because everything needs to be "HIGH TECH!!1!" and "SAFETY / EMISSIONS COMPLIANT!!1". Car manufacturers obviously cannot afford to produce these in America or Japan so these modules are made very cheaply in China. To add insult to injury, these systems are all interconnected in weird fucking ways that make no sense. For example, sometimes the backup camera will have the same module as the turn signals making diagnosing problems fucking difficult. Also, sometimes systems will fry and take entire unrelated systems down with it because everything is so fragile.

The magazines have also ruined cars. Journalistic kike hacks who have no idea what they're talking about are obsessed with "muh panel gaps" and "driving experience" along with "TECH FEECHUREZZ!" that actually make things much shittier. As a result, car manufacturers now tailor their cars to be impressive to the fucking magazines and not actually built well. This is evident with new cars being held together by fucking panel bond and plastic clips as opposed to welding and bolts. But the "magazines" don't notice or care so these shoddy pieces of shit get high marks.

Did you know the 2021 Toyota tundra doesn't even have a transmission cooler? Really, on a truck meant for towing? Oh, but it has all the optional tech cuck gadgets you could ever want!

Car brands are pretty much a meme at this point. They all use the same shitty chinese suppliers, all built AROUND the same shit regulations, and all hyped up by the same hack journalists who have NO IDEA what the fuck they're talking about.

The savageeese channel said it best: "car manufacturers are literally making technology that distracts you to save you from the technology distracting you."

I fucking hate modern Chinese rolling garbage panel bonded cuck "tech" cars. And I didn't even mention Tesla because that's a whole other consumer cuck rant that will probably give me an aneurysm.

Just replaced the second rebuilt 350 in my 99 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 4WD.

Based as hell. Those are becoming rare

[–] [deleted] 2 pts

Yep has a first row bench seat. You can get parts easily at junk yards etc.

[–] 0 pt

I really miss those bench seats in the front. I guess I have my HS girlfriend to thank for that.

I have 3 cars none newer than '05.

After that things started to go to shit. With screens and other garbage you don't need.

That seems to be the way now. More screens to distract you from how bad the car actually is.

Mid 2000s are probably the golden era of when electronics actually helped vs hurt new cars IMO. 90s are good too.

80s electronics were too new and really suck. 70s cars are killed by emissions but anything before that is good.

Yup, pretty much the only thing I change out is the BCM for something modern, no more CD's or tape players when you can stream music in HD, infinite choice in songs too.

[–] 3 pts

Yeah

The wrx I'm trying to keep stock. Has a 6 disc in dash cd player. Still have a lot of CDs so might as well use them.

And the xb has an aux port. That's all I need.

my 02 f150 has no touchscreens, cameras, or bluetooth, but it's buttons and knobs were designed to be used with gloves.

[–] 2 pts (edited )

and it has the 2v and not the 3v triton

[–] 1 pt

The new fords have 1 knob on the stereo.

The rest is touch screen.

It's like a "fuck you here's your knob"

[–] 0 pt

I hate all the screens. Feels like you're in a spaceship or something

Open source cars now.
We can build them oursevles.
Opens an entirely new economic segment by decentralizing the Chinese auto industry worldwide into local communities where the entire supply chain can be designed, manufactured and distributed (and repaired and maintained).

Open Source Bugatti-caliber cars would be amazeballs

[–] 1 pt

Much of the open source software world is already superior to that of proprietary counterparts. If enough minds gather to focus on building an open stable supercar then that is what we can acheive.

Absolutely agree. They just get worse every year. I stopped with a 2005 BMW M3 because it still has a dip stick to check my oil, and a 6 speed manual transmission; and a 2006 Dodge Ram, going strong and reliable for over 14 years. If I ever replace either of them it’ll be with something even older, like another CJ5 or something entirely mechanical.

[–] 1 pt

So YOU are the dude I’ve heard about that has the still Running 06 Dodge Ram!!!

I didn’t believe it was true!

[–] 0 pt

Yes it’s me. Kind of a big deal around town. People are always stopping me and asking me to tell them how simple the water pump replacement was...again and again. I tell ya, it never gets old telling the tales of this ol’ Hemi. It only has 88k on it, so I haven’t had to do much outside of maintenance. Doing the transmission drain and filter swap was a bit of a chore, and 2 spark plugs are a pain to reach.

I drive a Ford Falcon 2004 BA with deleted cat and muff and it's the most fun i've ever had. I'm going to keep this baby alive as long as possible and when it does kick the bucket i'm finding something identical.

Buy an Audi like everyone else.

Interior quality is fantastic, built in europe, not impossible to fix if you avoid the exotic models.

[–] 4 pts (edited )

Literally the worst advice anyone can give.

You have to take off the front clip or pull the engine to do basic shit on those. You know absolutely nothing.

[–] 0 pt

I just did work on mine without having to do that

[–] 1 pt

Yes. I have an old truck from the late 90s. Too bad we can't make kit vehicles outside the rules.

[–] 1 pt

Spot-on rant. My daily is 50 years old. The newest car I've ever had was a '91, & I'd fucking shoot myself before going any newer than that. All complete fucking garbage.

Every corporation is selling you shit to nickel and dime you to death.

It's all a part of the same globalist plan.

You don't own this shit!!! You rent everything so you are fucked if we say you can't work.

This is a soft form of slavery.

You should be able to diagnose and replace parts yourself. You should own your purchases like assets rather than liabilities.

[–] 1 pt

Amazing rant. The worst thing is all this "Brake Assist" and "Attention Assist" technology. Seriously? Attention assist? Fucking pay attention to the goddamned road you fucking moron.

Commercials like these:

Everyone has become a child.

When I lived in California, I had to straight up junk a car because it failed the "emissions test" and I couldn't afford the two thousand dollars it would cost to fix it.

That same state doesn't require a yearly safety test, so your car could be on fire and it would be allowed on the road as long as it passed emissions.

I don't live in that clown world state anymore.
