He's been worrying about that.
I should just get the Vette and let him learn his lessons his way; why interfere with the man's life choices?!
You'll have a better car for less money and less headaches. Can't go wrong if you're in the market for a car of this caliber.
My uncle had a Carrera and it was a lot of issues. For some maintenance they have to pull the whole engine out. Big bucks... He ended up selling it and getting a much less expensive BMW Z4. I don't talk to him a whole lot but last time I checked in with him he was much happier with it.
Back 30ish years ago, he had a Westfalia bus that had a Porsche 914 engine in it. We took that engine out maybe a dozen times for various reasons... we were also 30 years younger then than we are now... and the bus provides a good bit more room to work in. And the 914 engine is totally simpler and smaller than a Carrera's engine!
Jeez, a Z4! It'll be fun [if a little ugly] until it just blows up, as BMWs normally do at the end of their warranties these days.
I kind of loathe GM, but I kind of really like buying American. Also, since Germany has been such a cunt lately, I've kind of been sort of meaning to switch away from Benz... but I love my big, powerful, somwhat mushy suspensioned yet good handling kraut tanks!
The new vette is so cool, though - and MUCH more affordable than the new Ford GT.
I would have concerns normally over a Chevy, but by all accounts I've seen this car is top of line and possibly they are even losing money on it.
good video on it. Scotty normally trashes GM.
