My Jeep Liberty let me down again tonight and wouldn’t start. I’ve had it for 7 years now and it’s time to trade it in before repairs become stupid. It’s a 2007 with almost 190,000 miles.

Looking for something useful like a minivan I can haul around a bunch of tools for work. I was thinking a Honda Odyssey because Honda’s are supposed to be reliable. I don’t want a full sized work van. A truck would be cool too I supposed but they seem to be expensive. Like a Tacoma or Frontier.

I was also considering a compact car for good mileage. For some reason I like the Kia Soul. I rented one once and it wasn’t terrible. I know Kia used to be a cheap quality car but it seems like they have improved.

Idk. What do you recommend?

Consider checking out car rental franchise company resale websites. Right now, the kung flu has thoroughly wrecked them, so they're looking to clear out surplus inventory to pay down their debts. You'd be as dumb as a sack of potatoes to not at least look. As a mechanic, I was surprised to find out firsthand that cars out of franchise rental companies were in vastly better condition than cars from government agency fleet inventory.

Good idea. I tried looking at the Hertz used car sales last night but the website wasn’t working on my iPad.
