My Jeep Liberty let me down again tonight and wouldn’t start. I’ve had it for 7 years now and it’s time to trade it in before repairs become stupid. It’s a 2007 with almost 190,000 miles.

Looking for something useful like a minivan I can haul around a bunch of tools for work. I was thinking a Honda Odyssey because Honda’s are supposed to be reliable. I don’t want a full sized work van. A truck would be cool too I supposed but they seem to be expensive. Like a Tacoma or Frontier.

I was also considering a compact car for good mileage. For some reason I like the Kia Soul. I rented one once and it wasn’t terrible. I know Kia used to be a cheap quality car but it seems like they have improved.

Idk. What do you recommend?

My next used car will be another Grand Marquis/Crown Vic/Town Car. I can't not love driving these things. Bench seat, V8 (albiet underpowered), and RWD. Replace the air suspension with springs, and good to go. That sounds harder than it is, it's really quite easy to do by yourself. Some of the older ones had a fatal flaw, the plastic intake manifold that cracks.. but most of those have been to the dealership for recall replacement with a more durable one.

My sister used to have a Crown Vic. That thing was great. It sailed like a large boat over the road. I miss the feel of old cars like that.
