Any electric chair is not good to sit on. The current still flows through the chair, even if the buttons aren't being pressed. Moving it into position and then unplugging it while sitting in it is better. Then, plugging it back in to move it again in order to get out of it is the best option. Just don't leave it plugged in while a person is sitting in it.
