This helps dad take the medication for the correct day. Before, if I had filled a few days in advance, he’d get confused a bit and take the wrong day.

This is made more efficient because I check his meds every evening. I come over before he is due to take #4, put that night time dose in a little cup, then move the rubber-bands.

Props to you for helping mom.

Dad has approximately 12 different prescriptions.

I’ve done a bit of research on each doctor. He has a general practitioner, one for joints and stuff (I can’t recall their specialties, one for mental health, etc.

The only one I have a gripe with is the mental health. She only dies telechat with him and seems to be more than willing to cut it short and call in more psych meds.

My dad takes meds for pain, tingling feet (can’t remember all the medical terminology), allergies, sleep, acid reflux….that’s all I can think of. Oh, and some vitamins.

I’m not qualified to take any drastic measures like just not giving him any of them. His last serious hospital stay did one thing right, which is print out a very clear dosage chart.

I follow it. And I try to make it as easy as possible for him to not have me up his ass and to not overwhelm me with stopping by his house.

It’s hard. But I’m always trying to figure out a way for it to be best for both of us.
