Here are more of my ramblings as I continue to muddle through this stuff.

Today I was looking at forum software. I went ahead and installed one, nodebb, and played around with it, mainly its api. It works ok but I need to figure out how to send session cookies through the extension. That way, for example, if poal.co or some other site wanted to integrate itself with the extension, any user on poal.co that was logged in could immediately start using the extension with their poal.co username. This looks possible, the violentmonkey extension has done this at least.

By allowing multiple sites to integrate, it wouldn't matter if one of them discontinued support, the extension would still be available for other sites that are still integrated.

I registered captaindirgo.com, captaindirgo.org, and captaindirgo.net already and made a captaindirgo github user also. I figured that would be important because if google, and firefox block the extension, and then google and the other search engines filters it out, at least people can go to "captaindirgo.com" and by the name be assured they are getting the real extension.

I'll start uploading source code once I get a good handle of how I'm going to end up doing this stuff.
