From the post:

>The western Canadian province of Alberta will hold a vote later this year to gauge whether its citizens want to declare independence from the rest of the country. The vote on October 19 will not be immediately binding but will ask whether Albertans want to begin the formal process of separation and hold a second, official referendum down the line. Alberta Premier Danielle Smith announced the vote last week amid rising separatist sentiment, including a referendum petition which has attracted more than 300,000 signatures. The Alberta Prosperity Project is spearheading the movement and is run by gun shop owner Mitch Sylvestre and lawyer Jeffrey Rath.

Did you catch that? They want to have a petition for a petition. No. No one wants that, we don't want "but are you sure you're sure?" I think my mind was made up long ago.

Alberta is the most pro-israel province in Canada and Albertans seems to be more interested in establishing a democracy that resembles America's rather than continuing the monarchical ways of Canada's past. There is also a higher Orthodox percentage in the Canadian prairies so the chances of a holy empire forming in North America are still there.

Haven't they done that a couple times before? I know Quebec is always thinking about it.
