So uhhhh Is it too soon to say the "Would you pick the man or the bear"?
It sounds like one (Male) teacher tried to fight it off to protect everyone. I hope he is ok. There are two in critical condition and I assume he is one of them.
Really though. That is FUCKED UP. Was no one armed? Not even bear spray?
I hope they all make a full recovery. Yet another example of not being prepared for where you are. Canada, do better. You know better than this. You should have had at least 2 armed people and maybe some non-armed people with bear spray. This was avoidable.
From the post:
>A devastated grandmother shared photos of her young granddaughter in the hospital after a grizzly bear attacked her on a school trip in Canada.
The group of students and teachers were on a walk in Bella Coola, northwest of Vancouver, on Thursday when the bear attack took place.
At least 11 people were injured, including two who are in critical condition and two who are considered seriously injured.
Hzita Brown Mack confirmed on Facebook that her granddaughter is one of the victims.
'My heart shattered to see what the bear had done to her little body,' Mack wrote.
