That's about right. Criminals run the country, so they're sympathetic to the deplorable criminals stealing your packages. People need to push back. I'm going to post a sign saying that by being in my yard, you give consent for images and audio to be posted on social media.

Because now there is a reasonable expectation of privacy while being OUTSIDE TRESPASSING ON SOMEONE ELSE'S PROPERTY WHILE COMMITING A CRIME?

Canada is fucked.

So then filming anyone anywhere at any time should and could be an invasion of privacy.

If you record someone and publish it without their consent it is considered an invasion of their charter privacy rights in Quebec. See on this.

I wonder what loopholes there are for this. Post a sign saying you consent to having your picture taken and published if you engage in illegal activity on the property?

You know damn well that any photo evidence the police take themselves will be published on their internal platform. Maybe one can claim they are a private investigator and they are making the photo available on a private platform for other private investigators to assist in the investigation.

I’m guessing the police are exempt when publishing photos for law enforcement purposes, like catching a suspect at large. I’m sure their internal system is exempt.

I like the idea of posting a sign. That might hold up in court, but I am not a lawyer.
