I had a teacher who spent most of his life roaming the seas on his boat, from the early 80s to the late 2000s, literal adventurer... But long story short he saved barely anything for his retirement so he ended up being a teacher to get a minimum, and the funny thing is that he died before he even reached the age of actual retirement, died of a cancer, he was both heavy drinker and smoker.
