There are cleaner, more pleasant ways to go. I would think doctor administered Fentanyl, or an equivalent, would be the most compassionate. Go out high as a kite. The drug that "makes your heart stop" sounds painful.

I would rather is be done in a controlled setting where they can ensure it really was the intent and that is is followed through all the way.
