There’s something I’d like to point out about this Ottawa Police statement. > We will not allow for conditions that led to the unlawful protests in February to reoccur. We are applying lessons learned from the unlawful protest as well as the Rolling Thunder and associated protests to build our plan. The Ottawa police are lying here. An Ottawa judge declared months ago that the Ottawa freedom protests were lawful. That also means the Emergencies Act did not give the Canadian federal government the authority to shut down the protests. The act specifically excludes “lawful advocacy, protest or dissent.”
