Who doesn't realize this is going on everywhere, by many different organizations? On every mobile device?
When they were hunting down the Belgium Rambo last year, they said that they collected his movements and last location from the GPS of his car. That means that probably every GPS in every cars are collectings data and you just need to go to a car dealer to retrieve them. Just like our phones.
Most modern cars I'm sure.
My car has OnStar and even though I don't use the service the tech is still in the car. They could track it and even kill the engine.
Thinking about it, most modern car in Europe are equipped with some devices that can call emergency services in case of an accident. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a gps to send the location of the vehicle as well. The only escape is a donkey and a chariot.

Absolutely.
The tech started being rolled into new vehicles here in the mid 90s. So you're looking at something at least 25 years old to avoid it.
