I mean, if you can't vote then you should omit paying your taxes.

If your beliefs disallow you to participate in the most fundamental part of being a citizen of a country, why the fuck are you paying taxes?

Because the government will fine you, imprison you and just plainly fuck with you if you get caught. Don't go acting like its easy as piss to dodge the taxman too

To add onto this, the IRS has more power in the US than law enforcement. They don't need a warrant to seize assets for instance. Not sure what they have in Canada. But I would guess the taxman has a lot of power there too.
