I've been saying from the beginning that masks aren't going away. Beit culturally or mandated by law. My boomer mother read a book about "conspiracy theorists" and believes she has some esoteric knowledge now about the psychology of needing to be right. She thinks when I say the vaccine is poison and that they're planning to cull the planet, it's because I want it to happen, if you could imagine a more ridiculous thing.
Thing is, I couldn't want to be more wrong about anything in my life. I would be ecstatic to be proven wrong about my suspicions and theories because the ending in this one is going to be rough. You know it, I know it. Which brings me to my OP. Masks ARE NOT GOING AWAY. I'm going all in and I've got 2 pair. BC's plan to re-open is a dangling carrot but the dichotomy in this prediction is completely opposite to what I want. That should be obvious; even most covidiots don't want this to continue, they're just misguided to think they can manipulate the trajectory of the virus (much like climate change).
Here's why I think it's bullshit. They say Sept masks will be optional indoors but they leave a caveat. "As long as cases are low and 70% are vaxxed". Conveniently for them, Sept is the start of fall, flu season. So, yay, all summer masks then maybe a three week moratorium of no mask in Sept and then BOOM! Uh oh guyz, cases are back. Watch.
I want to be wrong about this. What say you?
