To paraphrase Tolstoy .. "[This] would be terrible if it was the product of coercion, but it is above all a product of public opinion." If NOBODY obeyed this it wouldn't happen. It is only happening because most obey and only a few brave go out and get ticketed or worse. And those who are confused or bewildered by this will have interactions with police they never expected either. And this is only the beginning of shattering our normalcy biases because we are docile as fuck and they can do anything to us it appears.
