If the US had elected Hillary and she was doing this shit, I certainly wouldn't be saying that Americans deserved it - because they do not. And neither do Canadians.
Trudeau has a minority government and is passing this via Order in Council which is like an Executive Order in the states. Completely bypassing all semblance of democratic process.

There were sufficient people with clearly not the best interest of Canada in their hearts voting in the last 2 elections that we are now only further down the garden path of virtue signaling SJW wokeness and all the other trappings of cultural Marxism. The kids that received indoctrination during their school years are these voters and outcomes like moronic, meaningless gun laws are the desired result. What's more their numbers are being bolstered by a million migrants a year all of whom of course are going to support any policy makers that also support open borders.
I'm Canadian. It breaks my fucking heart to see what Canada has become and I do not think it will recover. But we did it to ourselves.
