But it's worth keeping in mind that other people have thought they were safe behind the anonymity of the internet only to find out that their government forced the site host to give up their IP addr. It's unlikely that Poal is hosted in Canada but countries have unilateral agreements now and share information like it's their fucking jobs. Governments love to make examples of individuals by throwing the book at them and who has the money to mount a defense except the very rich, and it's not likely that group are going to be targeted, right? And it would take a huge injustice and disruption of our daily lives to spur the masses into action. The open revolts that have taken place in recent memory are all the result of significant suppression of the populace or blatant, massive corruption practiced by the leadership along with considerable hardship imposed on the population. I can't see that any western government is going to be dumb enough to not keep the people sufficiently placated with cake and circuses to avoid any serious grumbling. And then they can continue their policies of undermining individual rights and freedoms in the name of "it's good for you because we say so". It's only a matter of timing before there is a serious crack down on on-line instigators of hate speech -- AKA speaking out against the law makers and law enforcers -- and I do not want to be on the short end of the stick of that. 10 years in jail and 100s of thousands of dollars in legal fees is not my idea of a future. Perhaps I'm being overly concerned, but this would not be the first time NOR has there been any evidence that our government wouldn't do such. In fact it's pretty clear to me that they would exactly do such.
