Oregon just passed another gas tax and so they don’t have to pass another one it will be adjusted yearly based on inflation.

I’m sure it won’t be the pretend 3% they claim either.

The west coast is screwed.

Commiefornia did that and are now pushing for a mileage tax. 9 cents for every mile, up to 15,000 miles.

The amazing thing is we already pay a mileage tax when we buy the gas. The worse gas mileage your car gets and the more you use that car, the more gas tax you are paying. Mileage tax is just a tax on a tax, and the Biden admin put regulation in place to make the ability to track a car's mileage automatically mandatory.

I want to leave so bad, I had a conservative place/state picked out, 100 acres for 250,000 or 10 acres for 45,000 or a 5,000sq ft home on a 1/2 acre for 400,000

This was early 2020 and everything was shut down, I planned on going in the fall to look at the sites and try and get 100 with everything I wanted on it(stream or spring, backed up to state forest etc).

Then the summer of love started and kept going and in Portland and by August when I contacted the agents the prices were now 10 times high for land and only crappy plots were left. The housing was 5-6 times higher and the place had been invaded by liberals fleeing their utopia and brokers who bought up all the land.

Now I have to wait a few more years because I still need to be close to Oregon and can’t just move to a neighboring red state.

I had $10,000 in Oct 2022 from being terminated. We could have Uhauled to my parents house in Kentucky and restart. I got a job and took it, and since then I only feel even more weighed down by chains in this retched state.

I'm glad it worked out, but I fear I've missed my chance to escape...
