Becuase they don't want to, simple as that. Palisades is highly desirable, as was Lahaina. The uber elite need to clear it for their own use.

Right. I forgot the "commie" part of commiefornia.

They will clear cut everything, replace it mostly with new growth, make large but limited plots that the new "party" class will be privileged to build on and everyone else will be completely fucked.

Oh, all of this will be done in the name of climate change. They will also try to re-locate the blue commie displaced directly into every red city/state they can to turn it pruple/blue because they are just NPC's afterall.

I had to live there for a short period (LA even). I won't wish that on anyone.
