After being sued for years for letting aging infrastructure imperil thousands, they have decided to underground more lines and of course, who's going to pay for it? Given the geology of Cali and it's regular weather mood swings I couldn't say if undergrounding is better. They already couldn't maintain trees consistently

I'm not in an earthquake-prone area. My neighborhood has all underground utilities. Yeah, there's boxes on the lawns every few houses, but not having overhead wires is really nice. Makes it look so much better.
