I'm Anglo-Saxon, but I'm thinking, "Those damn Normans in 1066, where did they get off? They invaded my country and made my ancestors their surfs. I should get something back from them. I mean, they owe me something for what they did to my great great great great great great great great great .... grandparents, right? I'm still suffering the emotional trauma that was somehow magically passed down my family line from them to me. Money would fix it, and I'm talking lots of money.
