When one of the main selling points is avoiding gas prices this certainly is an issue for Tesla and its customers.

If Elon were really smart, he would offer every Tesla one free full charge per week. He can easily afford it. Car sales would skyrocket. Then the grid collapses, and the Whiteman gets blamed. No system is perfect.
