normally I would be in favor of letting people build on their own land the way they want with less government. But in this case no

Why? The people behind this bill openly talk about it being about ending segregation...(I won't even start on a rant about how that is BS) 2. This law combines with 2 other laws that show it isn't about ending homelessness but rather gov owned and controlled housing.

Those are newsoms eviction moratorium that is still in effect until the end of this month Sept 2021 (unless he extends it whenever he feels like it) And SB1079- this law makes it so that if a property is being foreclosed on it doesn't go straight to the free market, it goes first to any residents who were living there, (they're probably broke if they were renters) 2. someone looking to make it their primary residence (everyone is leaving the state) or 3. Other certain non profit entities ******<---- That last one is key

Those non-profits are low income state funded or federal funded housing entities. link:https://www.dailycal.org/2020/09/30/ca-gov-gavin-newsom-signs-housing-bills-announces-additional-funding-for-homekey-project/

So step 1: declare that people can't go to work in low income jobs Step 2 declare that they can't be evicted by their landlords Step 3: Wait for all small landlords to go bankrupt or many of them Step 4:When they sell their forclosed properties make sure the government funded housing programs get right of first refusal to buy the property Step 5: Make it ok to develop that land when it wasn't ok for decades up till now and take away local land control

Now the gov gets to own the roof over your head too.

And yes this crap is very about F-white people. Low income housing programs always, always make stuff about race. The people behind this and most low income housing stuff always hate the idea of white people having communities.

below is a fun list of a bunch of recently signed califonia RE related laws.
