Walther PPX. Subcompacts are for the lazy.

Carrying something is better than nothing.

.22 short is better than nothing for guns.

Swiss army keychain knife is better than nothing for knives.

The key is consistency, sometimes full size is just not right. Hell, sometimes you want to go bigger under your jacket with a chest holster for bear.

Yep. .22 will bounce. Not as likely to put someone down first shot, but more likely to kill them because it can't penetrate bone a 2nd time (or a first time depending) so it ricochets inside your meat.

I'm going to disagree with you. Consistency is important yes, but so is having something that's going to be effective. Once you've drawn the weapon, you're in a fight for the rest of your life. If you empty 22shorts into him, and he isn't down, he's gonna take that gun and beat you to death with it.

Having an ineffective weapon that you think is effective isn't wise.

I go with 380 +p, but having a .22 pistol or nothing, I think I'm going with a .22.

I have three on the list.

You lucky dog!

Like my PM9 the most.

Cobra, the finest handgun to ever grace God's green earth. They shouldn't even be able to sell something so powerful, accurate, and reliable. Most people don't know this, but that pistol singlehandedly tamed the west.

Heck yeah: Rifleman Review: Colt Cobra Revolver: https://invidious.fdn.fr/watch?v=CNr0tljpNsY

@ruck_feddit isn't talking about Colt's Cobra, he's talking about the Cobra ca380. They are noteworthy for being inexpensive, and inoperable.

[–] 1 pt

Yes! @Klakks, I went full retard.

[–] 0 pt

Yes. We get it.

That entire list could be replaced with the hellcat and possibly later gen p365's when they get the QC up.

So its a no on a magnum?

One gun on there (the most expensive one) with titanium cylinder and scandium alloy frame is capable of 38sp+P or 357mag. I happen to own that one. Kicks like a mule.

Hey, you do you!

I really like the Chiappa's: http://www.defensereview.com/chiappa-rhino-6-shot-357-magnum-revolver-for-concealed-carry-ccw-applications/

The firearms on this image aren't the only options and options have expanded greatly in the last several years.

Honestly, i use a 1937 Baby Browning (en.wikipedia.org), .25 ACP, an extremely rare find and have been asked about it before too!

I keep a .25acp in the vehicle for road rage incedents where they are stupid enough to get out of their vehicle and approach my driver's door. I call it my belly button gun. About all it is good for.

Nice! .380 +p in a Ruger LCP2 for me!

Glock 43 never gets any love.

[–] 0 pt

It doesn't? There are like 10 posts in /s/CCW so far and one is directly about it! It was posted by /u/ruck_feddit, Look @ruck_feddit, there's another G43 lover here!

[–] 1 pt

Oh, well that's good. I rarely meet them in the wild and just don't lurk the right subs. Only saw this because it was in New.

[–] 1 pt

What a weirdo (:

I've been land shopping, so I haven't been on as much. Couple more days and it'll all be over.

[–] 0 pt

Huh, Glock 17 didn’t make the list. Whatever...

[–] 0 pt

It's not a "list", just a general comparison for reference, I think of it more of a way to consider styles of firearms/calibers.

[–] 0 pt

With the advent of Meth and PCP, no one should carry anything smaller than a 40sw.

[–] 1 pt

Glock G36 in that case.

But I'll stick with the Ruger LCP2 on most days. Shot placement and training are just as important as caliber if not more important in my oh so humble opinion.

When i retired i bought a full size XD-40 and i love it. Ironically i was at the show to get a Glock and the dealer was rude so i found the guy with the Springfield.

It's such a mixed community. Anti-social LARPers make up part and the other are cool people lol
