I'm looking at state laws and the general direction states are moving in for the interest of my children. Unfortunetly as you said MT seems to be going not in an ideal way. ID and WY are two states that are seemingly doing more positive than negative. They have a higher chance at being good places for myself as I get older and my children/grandchildren, etc.

Personally, im of the belief MT should have split into MT and East MT since the two sections are so different from each other. But when founded, there was maybe 20K people, so yeah i can see why that wasnt done and not really ideal. MT is currently re doing itself, they went straight super red last election, down to governor, mayor, everything was red. The MT subreddit was so pissed at the election results here, it was hilarious. Well have to see what the new governor does though

I hope your state can keep liberty alive and keep big government/regulations away dude.

Hopefully, were better than a lot of other states. If more liberals move in though, we may be fucked

In what ways would you say Western Montana and Eastern Montana differ and is there a dividing line or is it more of a gradient?
