As the new line of video cards comes with PSP, I have been thinking of investing in an RX570 (or two). My question is whether it's worth it, coming from an RX550.

I know it is night and day when it comes to gaming, but what about anything else? Will I see any difference in video playback and better performance under higher resolutions? Will the extra GPU power be of any use to non-gaming applications?

It's a worthwhile upgrade for non-gaming use. Especially so if you can sell your 550 to someone for a few bucks to cover a bit of the cost.
