Yes, I'll be putting this together soon.

The requirements were:
- I want a Western Digital hard drive
- No RGB at all!
- No tempered glass
- Parts that will last
- I want a keyboard I can see without my glasses
- All the peripherals are wired (also no need for wifi/bluetooth)
- We don't game so I'm not spending a ton on it
- I'm going to keep using my old VGA monitor
- I want to get all the parts from Amazon

Do any of you see anything you would change?

I'd go for a better monitor. Also HDD brands don't matter much IMHO, it's the series or model that are fucked or not.

I agree on both points, but when someone has had more than a decade of good luck from a single brand, I can understand why they want to stick with it.
As for the monitor, I think he'll get a cheap TV to use as a monitor before long.

If you can swing it I'd only add a ssd as a primary for the os if not a larger ssd for everything instead of the HD you picked. Looks like amazon has a 1tb WD for a decent price.

It's in there. It's just hard to see those little NVME drives. ;)

Ha! Touche. Looks like maybe I need to clean my glasses.

Should be a decent build.
