Here's some year old Raspberry Skeeter Pee(lemonade) It came out crystal clear. The ABV is right at about 13%. This is where I like most of my fruit wines. Any higher and the alcohol over powers the fruit flavor.

Here's my recipe.

I used Simply Raspberry Lemonade 1 gallon 1 tsp yeast nutrient 1/2 tsp pectic enzyme 1/2 tsp yeast Energizer 2 lbs(4 cups) sugar

I had me a Jack Russell named Skeeter some years back. Never drank her pee though.

Lol. I didn't name it. My recipe is a modification of a famous one called Skeeter Pee. Since store bought hard lemonade has a bad reputation some country boy coined the term.

It’s a good name, made me giggle and think of that sweet pup I was once blessed with. And by golly sounds like a good libation as well.

On a side note FYI, Simply Orange Juice is get’n sued for not being as all natural as they claimed. From The Guardian Jan, 2023 -

LA new class-action lawsuit in the US alleges Coca-Cola and Simply Tropical fruit juice deceived customers with claims of an all-natural, healthy product when the juice has been found to be contaminated with toxic PFAS at levels “hundreds of times” above federal advisory limits for drinking water.”

Yeah, I ran across an article talking about the a few weeks back. I'll need to find another brand I enjoy. Not all orange juices are good. I prefer fresh squeezed and simply orange was the closest I found to the taste. It's unfortunate they can't give us good untampered healthy products.

Pretty neat! You say you don't open it up until a year has passed!?

All wine is best aged at least a year, 2 even better. However, this particular recipe is ready to drink in 3 months. Not many wines that you can get away with that on. Mostly the high acid ones can be drank at a low age.

Great! I have stuck to beer and some hard sodas, which this reminds me of.

I wanna try my hand at beer someday. I'll need to clear out some room in the basement first. Gonna have to butter up the wife lol

You can also use this same recipe but use orange juice instead. A month before bottling put a vanilla bean in the gallon and it tastes just like orange creamcicles (not sure of spelling)

Going to try this one.

It's great on a hot day! It's also one of the few recipes I know that can be drank young. It doesn't need to age to taste good. Granted aging it only makes it better.

Thanks for posting the recipe. Do apologize for the dead sub. Been busy raising the newborn (he's now 9months). I'd like to revitalize my own home brewing and get back at it and get posting on here.

> Do apologize for the dead sub.

It's quite alright. I was going to attempt to revive the sub back in November. I had intentions of attempting a take over but then my wife miscarried and life got hectic. Congrats on the little one! They are so fun once they become mobile, don't miss any of it. They don't stay that way long. If you need help running the sub I can help out here and there. I want to teach these niggerfaggots about making good hooch.
