Dude, starsan in the air locks, always
(sounds like quite the run however)
Wouldn't starsan harm the wine if negative pressure sucks it into the carboy?
No, maybe a tiny bit, but not really. Starsan isn't an atomic bomb of death. I sanitize with it and fill my jugs with some of the foam still in it, no rinse needed.
If like a cup went in to a gallon of active ferment, it might stall it, but an airlock somehow emptying into a 5 gallon batch wouldnt do anything. Starsan is a surface sanitizer, not a mixture sanitizer (like campden tablets or whatever they're called)
Thanks for the tip. Even with the rare negative pressure it wouldn't even be the full airlock, just a few drops at best. This info will help. I'm fairly new. Only started at the beginning of last spring. Enjoyed the first couple gallons I made and went mildly overboard when I picked up someone's wine supplies from an estate sale. One of the only problems I have now is not having enough carboys to keep going. lol
