I got an A+ in art class for doing a portrait of him in graphite from a photo I had just gotten from his Thin White Duke tour of the time. With the little yellow bowtie and everything! But it was in graphite, so the only yellow was from the vague yellowness of the paper.

I wish I still had that. I have no idea what happened to it, but it is lost. Hopefully somewhere some fan of mine still cherishes it, I hope. A vain hope, but a hope nonetheless.

I soon thereafter forsook my artistic side to focus on more profitable computer bullshit. It pays my way now, but I am still disgusted with the decision. I wanted computers to be my hobby while the art remain my focus! Alas, such is life.

I could hypothetically try to be artistic again, but it has been so long now that I'm sure it would be shite. It's been so long. I've been putting out fires with gasoline! (youtu.be)

You wouldn't believe what I've been through.

His last album still breaks my heart when I hear it, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to listen to it after this last track of "Let's Dance"...

Lazarus is such an intense video experience. God is dead. And now I am listening to it. Just like that bluebird, he is free.

Our saviour had to ascend to heaven, as savours do..

Incredible. I remember you from Voat lol. I loved Let's dance as a child. And Lazarus I could watch and listen to a few times. Haven't in a while. It astounds me how he just suddenly died with no talk of his being sick. Yes, he was definitely an interesting ethereal man. That's really cool that you drew something like that. I did a painting of Jim Morrison and it won a bunch of awards in school. It was him in royal purple and black. Almost a Warhol type before I knew who Warhol was. Thanks for sharing.
