Like, I get it - Boomer generation was raised in unprecedented prosperity and given a long leash. Shit was changing quick (politics, technology, uppity niggers & women), and a lot of their parents just didn't fight it, nor did they get a lot of help.
But man at least fucking analyze it and say that shit! Admit that you aren't exceptional, that their success - made possible by the hard men & times - was, largely due to their shenanigans, not cherished and perpetuated for their offspring. And that they're deeply sorry and will assist in whatever way.
I'm lucky that at the very least they saved enough for their own retirement. Because I ain't fucking around with any of that. They always looked out for themselves, at least that has one positive aspect.
If you can convince me this matters. I'll fall into line and follow. I just don't care anymore.
There is nothing exceptional left to discover. We murder every previous generation b/c were ignorant. Only this time we're trying to do it a generation early.
