On our way home from a track meet. We saw the mom running across the road with a chick right behind her. Some ass hat came through and hit the mother. We stopped and grabbed the baby. Searched the area for other chicks but didn't find any. I can already tell this is going to be nothing like raising a robin chick. The robin was very young and imprinted easy. This little one is already mobile and doesn't like people...
