It’s work to do anything in the yard, we have bears, deer, moose, cats (mountain lion and bobcats), so to keep any livestock I’d have to have a way to keep them safe from wildlife and warm in the winter. Maybe when I retire or work less than 50 hrs per week. But I’d start with bees. Every year I clear a bit of the yard and sow wildflower seeds, so when I’m ready for bees I’ll have enough food for them here. I also may move to the property where our family cabin is, and I’ve done the same there but I have more acreage. That requires building a house and a shop, so I’m not in a hurry.
