There's deer farms? That's pretty cool. I know in my area are wild deer just wandering around peoples properties, long with Coyotes and the very rare bear or big cat. I didn't feed them, and the deer were definitely wild, but we seemed to reach an understanding. They'd let you get within 5 feet or so, and they would munch on the bush near the back steps. As long as you didn't make sudden moves or noises, they'd be content to ignore you or, at most, dance around the yard if I had to go near where they were grazing.
Hell, one time a mother deer and her two fawns were walking through the yard in the middle of the day. I was outside trying to hack at some overgrown bushes and the morning glory vines on them. My cat was out laying under the shade of the tree, and the mother walked over to my cat and started nuzzling her belly. My cat was so scared that when the deer stepped over her and started tending to her fawns that were munching at some blackberry that little fuzz bucket ran over to me and wouldn't leave my side till I went in. It was hilarious.
Since those dumb fuck californians have been buying up the woods they haven't been coming around much at all. Used to be around pretty much 4 times a week they'd come around during the day and dusk. Now, you're lucky if you see tracks to know they were there twice a month.
I give up
Not like I intentionally did it. That's just how things ended up after a few years of living where I do. I didn't set out to make friends with them or domesticate them, and it's a moot point anyway. I didn't cater to them, I just wasn't an big loud bastard.
