I grew up around poor rednecks. If I needed help while chopping down a tree or fixing my car, one would always offer to help. Even if they didn't like me very much. When I moved to a much more upscale majority non-White well (((educated))) neighborhood, I quickly learned that offering to help people many times was received the same way randomly asking someone for money would be. It's still very strange to me. The idea that these sorts of people enrich white society is such a fucking lie.
