They off ramp is quite easy and Putin said it very clearly. Ukraine becomes a neutral country and agrees never to get into NATO and NATO stops loading it up with weapons. That's what he said before he went into Ukraine and that's what he said before zelensky threatened to get nuclear weapons two days later Putin went into Ukraine.

As it is now Putin has said he just wants the territories that it voted to get into Russia and he wants the rest of Ukraine to get neutral. And stop stuffing weapons on his borders. Anybody who listens to any of Putin speeches which are all translated into English knows this and has known this for at least the last five years when Putin's been talking about this problem.

I usually think that people like Biden and biden's advisors are just lying and they know exactly what Putin wants.

But then again sometimes I think they're actually so stupid that they only listen to internal reports from quote unquote intelligence agencies that have quite often gotten things wrong and they're listening to those and asking those agencies what Putin wants and they literally don't even listen to Putin's own speeches and they instead rely on their own inner judgment about what they think that Putin might want. And I really sometimes think that they really are that stupid and uninformed.

The idea that a full-scale exchange of nuclear weapons between the US and the old USSR was going to end life on earth was always absurd. The boogieman, "nuclear winter" is also bullshit. We can fight a full nuclear war and walk away from it, to fight another one in the future. Yes, the major cities would suffer major damage and millions would die. But look at how fast the Japanese rebuilt and reinhabited Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Look at how quickly wildlife returned to the area around Chernobyl, and it is thriving. Yes, the nukes would throw some dust into the upper atmosphere, but the power of hydrogen bombs pales in comparison with the power of a major volcanic eruption.
