Something like this is part of freedom of speech. You are free to absolutely do the exact same thing to someone you dislike. I'd ask what argument you have that making fun of people shouldn't be allowed? I have probably spent more of my time considering this argument than most people and I have yet to see a valid reason why making a joke even one in poor taste(read offensive) should not be protected speech. I'd be willing to bet you as a vegan have made a joke or two in your life at the meat eaters expense.
