I like monero.

It has the benefits of bitcoin decentralization, but also the anonymity of cash, and doesn't have the speed limit of transactions that make bitcoin impossible for mainstream everyday adoption.

But buying it has been very difficult until rather recently. Right now you can buy it with Kraken, usd straight to monero, and use a ledger nano hardware wallet to keep it secure.

Ledger is a woke company but ledger and Trazor are the only ones who offer a hardware wallet compatible with monero, and unless you want to spend over $100 for one then Ledger is your best bet.

yes you are correct, I recently discovered this to my great frustration. Kraken will let you buy monero, but won't let you send any crypto outside their site without ID verification.

so it's really only for day trader speculation, rather than people who actually want to use monero.
