The main difference with the collapse of soviet russia are the following:

First, in soviet russia everybody was "owner" of his home/flat, since those were attributed by the state, so you didn't get a fuckton of homeless people overnight via assets foreclosure for example, it was a communist country. Everything was state owned, very few things were private/attached to private debt system

Second, russia was bankrupt, but the resst of the world could lend
