Constitutionally they don't. Using their established standard, according to police and corrupt judges, you're allowed to shoot police on sight, without cause. That's now the judicial standard. Not actually advocating doing this, but this is the legal standard established by corrupt cops and corrupt judges.
Constitutionally, aside from arrest and investigation, any and all privileges extended to police are extended to all civilians. Any action to the contrary is a constitutional rights violation. Equal rights clause.
Accordingly, as police are allowed to shoot civilians upon sight of a lawful weapon, constitutionally ALL civilians are constitutionally protected shooting any civilian upon sighting a lawful gun. Literally, according to corrupt cops and judges, you are legally allowed to shoot them on sight. Again, not advocating and is obviously hyperbole to highlight the illegality and constitutional rights violations of these corrupt cops and judges.
