I would have hit the road after getting the warning and called it a win.

Na, this is becoming all too common and needs to stop. They don't get to just make up their own rules and laws.

Sidenote, if he pulls shit like this on truck drivers, he is hurting their driving record. Written warnings still go on our record and affect csa score, insurance, etc. The only difference is we can't fight a warning. That's why a lot of drivers will ask for the ticket. It at least gives them the opportunity to fight it.

I haven't watched the video yet, but the thumbnail implies that the driver was doing 65 in a 70.. that seems perfectly acceptable in my opinion. The typical police radar can read +/- 1 mph from the actual speed when tuned. If the unit isn't tuned, its reading is not admissible in court.

Its entirely possible that this driver could have actually been traveling at a speed much closer to the posted limit.

There are laws about going too slow in some (most?) states. But it requires the speed to be so low it would impair the safe movement of traffic.

Right. I think Kansas and or Oklahoma have minimum 40 mph posted on some highways.

It would seem prudent to turn on hazard lights if you are going to be driving more than 10-15 mph below the posted limit.
