You'd think the cop would appreciate a huge fire truck with flashing lights securing the area making it extremely unlikely that any other vehicle would strike the first responders.
Yeah, it is just mind boggling.
My bet is that this was about 'who owns this accident scene'. He told the Fireman to move the truck because he thought he was in charge and thought it was a good idea (open up a lane and get traffic moving) and the fireman refused because he still had patients lying in the road. Then the cop said 'lets go measure dicks in the back of my cruiser'
Probably had napoleon syndrome and was just mad that it wasn't him securing the area, I wouldn't put it past some of today's cops to be that childish.
If the Fire Department/EMT were first on the scene. They would have control over the scene, and getting the accident victim out safely. The CHP would assist only.
The story said that the CHP had jurisdiction on the highway but Fire got there first and it was unclear if they had released the scene
Then the CHP were in the wrong. Too bad its a LIbtard website. Not Particularly Relevant.
NPR? Really? Ugh..
The firemen probably wouldn't move the truck. The police said, "OK, we know what you do, you fight fires. Let us show you what we do."
