X10 stuff, yay. I know I have a couple of IBM-branded devices in my spares box. Almost everyone had their name stamped on them...GE, RCA, BSR, Powerhouse, Radio Shack, Stanley, Sears...you name it. The only thing really unique about the system was the software, and I believe that just programmed the CM- module. I still run a small subset of X10 stuff because of the wide range of controllers that were available. There's a wall switch in the main room for the RF side, a button pad in the bedroom for devices, and a backup failsafe clock that does minimal on-off functions of the house lights in case of computer failure. That's the big draw, a standalone clock that can do the timing functions. Just plug in, program, and make sure the battery stays fresh for power outages. There was a time in the early 2000s when X10 didn't work at all if you had the "new" compact fluorescent bulbs. Those were so noisy that they overrode everything from AM radio to whatever you had on the line.
