It seems like it has really been stalling. I would like to see a open and more adopted standard but it is what it is.

It's another home automation standard at the moment,

Yep, it's yet another "standard" vying to be the standard. I think the criminals tyrannizing the world simply want a standard way to control all devices. I don't use any smart device standard, rather I keep all my devices behind a firewall and use my own local protocol to talk to them.
