Just drove through the area. Left this morning at around 8am, it was cool, calm and spitting with rain. Light rain and calm conditions persisted for my entire trip so far. That they were telling people to flee even large towns (to where? Who fucking knows) was preposterous. Inciting fear and panic in the population. They got their weather prediction wrong by about 15C. They were predicting 40C with high winds and dry lightning. Actual weather.... calm, mid 20s with steady light rain.
