This Summer in Aus has been (at least for my bit of it) bloody cold. There have been a couple of warm days, but they only stand out due to them being unusual this year. Lost at least half my garlic crop due to cold and wet, similar experience even for commercial garlic growers that I recently spoke to. My tomatoes are only just starting to produce, yields way down though, managed to make one small batch of passata on the weekend. In a normal year I would be preserving tomatoes starting in January. Corn is struggling and still flowering, not sure if the cobs will even mature. Pumpkins all failed this year due to excessive cold conditions.

The BOM are a pack of lying cunts, and the lickspittle medial lap it up. They pump out ridiculous headlines warning of "catastrophic heatwaves" or "temps over 50C", but neglect to mention that these are only in isolated areas of NW Western Australia, where such conditions are perfectly normal. The climate change lie is falling apart, but they are pot committed. Eventually, they will be standing in the snow proclaiming that it's hotter than it's ever been, like fucking Baghdad Bob. The BOM has corrupted and adjusted the temperature record of Australia to the point that it is largely worthless (the ACORNSAT datasets at least), not to mention their incompetence (that's a generous attribution) in "upgrading" weather stations to automatic weather stations that use platinum resistor based temperature probes. These probes are used to gather effectively instantaneous temperature measurements, and as such record maximum temperatures that are often significantly higher than what would be recorded on a mercury thermometer. More sensible weather services use a running average to gather the maximum, smoothing the readings over a period of a minute or so to avoid spurious spikes in temperature. That doesn't even get into the siting issues and the homogenization of the data.

My observations from Qld is the seasons are a month out of time with the calendar. The seasons seem to be a month late.
