The scan and go system requires you to scan a QR code so that you can then select all your shopping and leave the store with it bagged and not having to go through a register. Sounds convenient. What’s the catch?!?!
Firstly the QR code is linked to your individual details and your individual phone.
Secondly, this allows not only the stores, but the government to track not only your spending (as they do with credit cards) as it all becomes cashless, but also EXACTLY what products you buy which leads towards tracking your carbon footprint.
It’s all part of the Digital ID and Climate Change agendas and should be avoided at all cost.
