I'd put about a 95% probability that either State or Federal government will now push for even stricter gun laws following the QLD shootings. Not sure exactly what went on there yet, who the shooters were or whether they had legal guns (quite likely could have, pretty much every property out there would have several guns, mainly for vermin control. If they have wild boar, they would have reasonably high powered rifles too).

Regardless of the facts of the case though. They will use this to likely push for a total firearm ban. They want to ban all guns, because even with most guns banned, they are still scared that people will rise up when they carry out more of their goals.
